Pros

- Is a healthcare system in licking county, Ohio - is basically a landing point for any Columbus doctor that needs to wait out a non-compete in Columbus

Cons

- administrators, largely, lack healthcare backgrounds - the executive turnover has been next to zero over the past decade - I’ve never worked at an institution with higher physician turnover - the CEO, specifically, has medical pet projects which you’re expected to participate in. Forget if said initiative has evidence supporting it. - if you question said priorities, you might find yourself terminated without cause (Ohio is a “right to work” state) - the best thing that could happen for the population of licking county is either: 1.) the board agitates for a massive change in leadership 2.) a competent health system buys Licking Memorial Health Systems - this rural health system has had staying power because it owns quite a bit of property in a county adjacent to Columbus and in which major infrastructure projects are underway (I.e. Intel) - Licking Memorial Health Systems has had staying power because it is a real estate holding company masquerading as a health care system.

Pros

It's the only health care system locally perhaps

Cons

During one of the meetings, the CEO did not know the difference between family medicine and internal medicine, implied pediatric call coverage for an internist. That's a red flag when the firm is supposed to have an "open minded and forward thinking CEO"? The office manager did not know the term CME (continuing medical education) credits after been there for years? Red flag again. Lack of a dyad system where one MD in each level of administration is matched with an administrator to improve clinical operations. More like a close-minded organization.

Pros

Pros were my coworkers. Most of my coworkers were enjoyable and kind.

Cons

Upper management and my manager were the WORST to work for. There is no amount of money that would get me to EVER work there again.
