Pros

You will learn a lot, including how to deal with incredibly stressful and some unbelievable situations. There are some good people at this company, too. Well-known company that looks great on a resume.

Cons

This company has a terrible reputation, and rightfully so. If you want to be an overworked show pony who is paid at least $25-30K less than the industry standard, this place is for you. Bad behavior is not addressed, and bullying management style is common. Nepotism is a huge issue as well.

Pros

This company is essentially a boot camp, you will learn how much stress you can handle, the amount of disrespect you can handle, and what your breaking point is.

Cons

First, all positions in this company are underpaid unless you are a Siegel, or you are family to the Siegel's. The company and a large percentage of the senior management people at this company are unprofessional and disrespectful. [you learn at this company how low you are willing to be treated and feel before throwing in the towel] The company doesn't respect or give a crap about anyone else's dignity or respect. You will be overworked and will experience anxiety when driving to work, working, and driving home from work because you work at Lifetime Brands.

Pros

Good for an intern but that's it.

Cons

Pay and compensation package isn't competitive. Art department lies to new hires about job responsibilities and compensation packages. Management presents "new opportunities" to employees leading them to believe that it's a path to promotion. Even when you prove yourself you won't be promoted but management will expect you to continue to work outside your pay grade. This is manipulative, unethical, and an unprofessional tactic that's used often. Some artists are given many projects to work on while others work on a few and spend most of the time texting on their phones or gossiping about other coworkers. The only reason some employees have worked there for many years is because they fall prey to staying where they're comfortable instead of looking for another place to work. They become lazy with their careers. This is common among employees in general and companies like Lifetime Brands will use it to take advantage of you. They will never compensate you fairly, competitively, and raises are laughable.
