Pros

I would like to say this is a good company to work for but after my experience, I can't say that. Dress code is casual. There are many kind people working here but if you work for someone that manages by intimidation and bullying that will not matter. This isn't a company that offers any "perks" unless you are in sales. They get all the perks.

Cons

The truth is if you have a fair and level headed manager, this company can be great. Unfortunately I had a boss whose management style is to manage by bullying and intimidation. Nothing was ever good enough. It was impossible to please this person. They found fault in anything I worked on and picked me to pieces. Despite putting forth my best effort this bad behavior continued. It got to the point where I did consult with HR I was told "Thats just the way it is" because this manager is in the "the circle" "nothing can be done"-- VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I was not the first person treated this way by this manager.

Pros

Laid back culture, but depending on whom you report to.

Cons

Too much nepotism going on. 401k contribution cut in half. No more employee events. All that matters is budget.

Pros

Salary is the only good thing that I can think of that's keeping me at this company.....

Cons

Engineering is not sized to support sales force. Engineering leadership is disconnected from day to day operations. Engineers have no yearly goal objectives. Roles with-in engineering lack clarity and overlap with other departments. Senior leadership is lead to believe, or choose to ignore issues with turning up new services - requires brute force each time to turn up an order. Only concerned with the monthly sales and revenue numbers. Lifeblood systems used to maintain inventory and service order delivery (CRM) is misaligned and flawed, consumes an enormous amount of amount of time each day. A layer 1 company, struggling to become a "big fish" as well as becoming a layer 2/3 company. Polar opposite to a Tier I Telco with too many processes, Lightower has too few processes. Integration issues between legacy systems and processes create in-efficiencies. Observed a limited effort to unify all staff. Limited training, after being told by hiring manager that it was encouraged Poor synergies between functional departments Poor moral - Engineering staff is burning out. Lack of team effort, lost opportunities to get functional areas on the same page, this should come from senior leadership Growing pains as the company tries to scale. Sometimes it's not clear who's making a decision.
