Pros

The potential to make some good money. Everyone that works at the company is younger, which is nice. But it also speaks to the fact that anyone with any experience would never put up with the environment.

Cons

The cons of working at this job are endless. So I'll start with the greatest con: the management. It is beyond ridiculous. The boss would not last a single minute at a real company with modern luxuries like HR. The things that come out of his mouth are indescribable. You literally need to hear them to believe them. He is a bully. Plain and simple. At the same time, the owner seems perfectly content to allow his company to be run very poorly by an absolute clown. The training is a joke. There is no training. It last a couple days and then you're on the phones crashing into company's call centers trying to get high ranking 'decision' makers on the line. The turnover rate is unbelievable. In my months there I saw loads of people come and go. Most lasting less than a week. Some going into week two or three. The commission structure is so sketchy. It is designed so that the individual who made the sale will never see a penny of their commission-the owner will though. You need to wait months, some times close to a year to receive your commission and by that time most people have left or were fired. I could go on and on. My last con is that the wrong person is running the show. The boss should be sacked and the manager should take over. The sales would skyrocket and the employee retention would be a lot greater. The point is that this is an unhealthy work environment. Only those who have truly experienced the madness can really understand just how insane it is. Do not apply! Oh and all the positive reviews are untrue. FACT!

Pros

Nothing at all. Maybe the courtyard? But even that sucks.

Cons

I am a former employee of LYM. I quit here over a year ago and I get emails on my phone whenever there is a new review and I have been tormented knowing people are still being employees here. LYM is a racist, degrading and overall demeaning place to work. You will be broken and verbally abused and told it is to "toughen you." I recently saw LYM has lost their screen and also created a blog outlining the type of person they want to employ. This is due to all the negative comments on here, glass door. Please please PLEASE let these reviews be a warning to you to avoid this place at all costs. When I worked there, I heard it from the horses mouth that all the reviews have been falsely written by its employees after being forced to do so by the VP. It's an unstable job, and drives its employees through fear tactics. The late nights of research is a lie. They will not hire you if you have a family or a life outside of work. I was NOT fired. I left. I was a good employee who earned a ton of money for myself and the company. However, after a year I would go home in shambles every night. My family and friends commented on my personality change and told me to GET OUT at all costs. The eliminate people faster then a blink of an eye. DO NOT leave your current job for this place. If anything please take vacation time and do a trial and I promise you will not regret it. I wish I could leave my number or contact info to tell you horror stories. Please please please work anywhere else but here. Everything about this place is pretty wrapping paper but inside is a pile of ****.

Thank you for your feedback. I was not with the company during the time that you worked at LYM but after knowing this company and the team that works here, I would like to respectfully disagree that LYM is "racist, degrading and demeaning". I do agree that LYM is not for everyone and that if you are looking to join the LYM team and are currently employed, take some vacation time and see if LYM is a right fit for you. I also encourage everyone to visit our blog - http://www.lightyearmedia.com/new-blog/ to further investigate who we feel a good LYM personality is and what working at LYM looks like.

Pros

- Sales Manager is easy to talk to regarding concerns.

Cons

- No one lasts longer than 3 months, most quit during the week-long training. - You will NEVER see your commission. - NO work-life balance, must do ALL research at home which can take up to 4 hours per night. - Punished offen. - CEO is bigoted, calls employees bad names, makes fun of employees until the point of breakdowns. - Etc.
