Pros

Camaraderie between other same level employees that you're all in the same awful laughable situation together

Cons

5 days a week in office, after 6 months you're allowed to request one day a week to work from home. Clock in and out system- managers frequently check the hours you have worked and how long your lunch was. The culture felt restrictive and tense, no atmosphere, no background noise allowed in the office, and even wearing a single headphone could result in disciplinary action. It created a very oppressive environment. There was also little genuine support or training in my role; instead, there was a strong blame culture where mistakes were focused on more than development. I also noticed frequent gossip and negative comments shared within management about team members, which made it difficult to trust leadership and contributed to a generally unhealthy working culture. HR protect a notorious SLT member who is well known to be a complete bully, they use patronising, condescending and threatening language particularly to other women in the business. I reported their behaviour to HR once and in the meeting was told "is a bunny rabbit and I need to get used to working with them because they aren't going anywhere". Managers also made disrespectful comments about the CEO commenting on her age and abilities, would discuss this with customers. Continually laughed at when referenced why there is no air-con in the main office, warehouses and production are air conditioned for the silicone but office workers have a dismal desk fan. Told that we only have one hot day a year. Office is extremely uncomfortable in warmer months. Salaries are at the absolute bare minimum, will find any reason to not pay bonuses

A masterclass in mismanagement

Pros

Apart from a few genuinely brilliant colleagues who make each day slightly more bearable, there are no real upsides. Imagine being stuck on a burning boat — that’s the general vibe. People get by with humour and mutual support, but that’s about it.

Cons

One of the most demoralising work environments they’ve experienced. There’s zero incentive to go beyond the bare minimum, yet expectations to “go above and beyond” are constant. All of this, of course, for the lowest salary management can get away with. There’s no meaningful support, communication is patchy at best, and the underlying issues stem from a leadership team that is both toxic and out of touch. The potential is there — the people are capable — but leadership is the biggest liability. The unspoken motto might as well be: “Everyone is replaceable.” Emotional outbursts, power struggles, and poor decision-making are commonplace. On paper, the company presents well. In reality, it’s a revolving door of talented individuals leaving due to: No pay progression Zero recognition A culture of “don’t like it? There’s the door” They’d advise anyone considering a role here to negotiate hard on salary — they can afford more, they just choose not to invest in the people keeping things afloat. Better yet, avoid the stress and look elsewhere. As for the people who should be there there to make sure everything is run fairly…It's widely seen as compromised. Confidentiality is a myth, especially when aligned with leadership. Gossip spreads faster than actual information, and trust is thin on the ground.

Great products but poor management

Pros

Flexible time, great products being developed and opportunity to travel here and there.

Cons

Toxic culture, being micromanaged by senior management. Advertised as wfh 1 day a week but was never allowed to. Pay is below industry standard. No accountability from management.
