Pros

The outings could be pretty fun, if planned right. And Michael Sullivan. President of the company isn't part of the cons below that the rest of management is. He isn't aware of what the company was putting me thru or how I was tre

Cons

Very low pay for accounting work. And you will do a whole lot of hours and work only to make the top guys more and more money. Don't let a once in while if it's a good year "profit sharing " bonus fool you either. What you're yearly gross income ends up plus that will still be much less than others in the same position elsewhere. It's only done so the ones making millions get a tax break. The benefits are horrid, they only pay 50% of just the employee premiums in corporate but if you are a GM it's 100%. (Which they deserve) but so does corporate. They can afford it for an office of 1000 employees and there is only 25. No one uses it there unless they have a 6 figure salary bcits the only way you can afford the plan they offer. This company is a man's world, rarely do you see anyone other then men and just realized all white promoted. And I feel for the women who do get promoted because it is for way less pay than the men and way more work. These are the jobs men don't want bc the amount of work so it's pretty much only bc they were forced to by lack of men applicants. They will use you and under pay you. They will suck the life out of you, take advantage of you if you are naive and take all you will give and more but never give. Don't be fooled by all the glitz and glam of fancy suits and Maseratis in the parking lot bc ifyou are working for them you will only contribute to them buying another one. Then again if you're a man they may buy you one. This isn't even half of the cons I could write a novel about how poorly they treat the employees in the corporate accounting department. The founder of this company has a great story about coming from nothing and he's a very nice person but he isn't the humble person he had once been and it's his story, you aren't going to be like him if you work for him. I swear once this companies revenue went over 10m for the year they only could see green. And if you are hearing all kinds of gossip from your boss it's not an in, she gossips about everyone. Pretty sure she would work about 30 hours less a week if she didn't spend so much time talking badly about coworkers with coworkers

Pros

-Small company (<40 properties) -Great room rates ($15! off-peak with GM aproval) - Felt empowered & appreciated on property - Fast paced (was there for under a year in various positions in heat of season). If you wanna move up, be prepared to learn things on the fly.

Cons

- The company runs a lean staff. Too lean. It's mostly about the bottom line. If your not the GM or above, your being slightly underpaid. - Didn't feel like workers on the front line were as valued as much as $$. - Upper management plays favorites and blows lots of smoke to the lower level staff. They tell you what you want hear. - Some corporate managers seem to be promoted rather rapidly without merit. - Felt slightly phony and amateur. Couldn't see a (proper) future of moving up the ranks as a recent college grad.
