Pros

Cheap food and free transport

Cons

Upon arriving to sign offer letter, HR will say oh based on our matrix our previously agreed salary will need to change. Obviously cut the pay. Yes they tell you that on the day of signing. Engineers are expected to stay until 8pm and beyond even though contracted till 5.30pm. If you leave at 5.30 your boss will scold you and claim you not willing to learn. HR are also shady beings here. They will act nice and all before signing offer. Once signed and you enter the look they give you will be a look of disgust and condescending. You request for a document for maybe army or any gov related sector. They will be annoyed and claim cannot always request when it is your own rights and personal information. Claim big bonus. When bonus come it fall short on expectation. On top of that company getting sold to another company in a different country. So bleak times ahead and good luck to whoever staying and intend to come in

Pros

Cheap food, like dirt cheap but decent passable food Free drama in office to watch (iykyk)

Cons

Backwards thinking — using AI to help with tasks like writing meeting minutes is seen as lazy or as not putting in effort. There’s a lot of office politics and gossiping about others. At the same time, if you raise issues about someone, there’s a risk that person may make your work life difficult afterward. There seems to be very little sympathy for employees. I’ve seen operators get treated unfairly by HR or their supervisors. The pay is below market average. Sometimes HR may verbally agree that the salary is low, but refuse to provide the offer details in writing and instead ask candidates to come down physically to sign. Then on the actual day, the offer turns out to be lower than expected. It’s better to keep other offers open before rejecting them for this company. Higher management sometimes pushes difficult or unrealistic tasks onto employees they dislike, while providing little to no guidance. Even after explaining why something may not be feasible, the response is often “it’s still your job.” For example, operators may be asked to inspect products both before and immediately after a very short process, even when it adds little practical value. Be careful with HR policies — always get things documented in writing. For example, employees may initially be told that emergency leave is allowed for critically ill overseas family members, only for the policy interpretation to later change. I’ve also seen cases where employees dealing with emergency surgery overseas were forced to take unpaid leave. One department reportedly has four to five managers while engineers continue handling most of the actual operational work, which creates an odd management-to-staff ratio. Cleanliness standards are also poor for a manufacturing environment. Even office and production areas can be noticeably dirty, including areas that are supposed to be controlled or clean-room environments.
