Constantly short staffed, poor salary for the amount of work expected along with responsibilties.Pushed to take on more work to cover staff shortages & working day changed at often very short notice . The main tool of communication is large amount of emails everyday which you have to try & keep on top off while being mobile , return after a/l & to at least 150 emails! Alot of which aren't relevant to you. Very little team time apart from weekly team meeting (2 hours) which is mainly about rotas . Not a great training calender either

Very hierarchical, decisions take a long time to implement, not very open for innovation, very corporate-like working environment for a not-for-profit organisation, bonuses get paid a year in arrears, career progression options are limited to a senior person leaving
