Sold on promises of elite clients and exciting prospects, the reality at Lion Digital was far less glamorous. The roster was mainly filled with small-budget players, leaving little room for ambitious projects. Overtime, however, was expected with minimal appreciation, while personal time came at the cost of docked pay.
Navigating the company meant dodging the narcissistic tendencies of the owner, in the absence of any formal HR process. Change wasn't a welcome guest at Lion Digital, meaning dissatisfaction often led to resignation, not resolution.
The paychecks, unsurprisingly, failed to reflect the long hours demanded. And to top it all off, the culture leaned heavily towards a "boys club" atmosphere, with female employees a rare sight.
Overall it was not a great experience and the high turnover rate of staff made it very hard to find a comfortable place at Lion Digital.
