The leadership pretends to care about the people. They don't. Their priorities are taking care of themselves. The 80/20 rule is in full force, meaning the 20% (upper management) makes 80% of the money. While they received bonuses, 25% of the workforce was let go. The model train industry is getting more and more irrelevant each year and leadership truly does not care about the core of the business made the Lionel name iconic. Morale is very poor and while management pretends to care, they do not. The micro managing from under qualified VP's is absurd. The current CEO (not Jerry Calabrese) has run the business into the ground by effectively killing the core of the business (collectible trains) by running off the customers. Poor inventory buying decisions have left the company with huge amounts of inventory that they can not give away, and no one in upper management is ever held accountable for the million dollar "mistakes".
