Stellar Company

Pros

A company who sincerely cares about their employees. They know their employees are important and they are one of the most important cogs of the organisation. Training and understanding are important which is an excellent part of the organisation. The organisational culture is truly spectacular and unlike anything experienced before. Loved coming to work and being a part of a well-oiled machine and working with great team members. Stellar leaders throughout the company, particularly sales and executive team.

Cons

Can be difficult to work with some team members, but not the fault of listrak, simply employees who struggle to see the big picture or time management issues. Negotiating contracts can be quite time consuming and much back and forth.

Not the shining star it once was.

Pros

As others have said, it completely depends on what department you are part of. Some have celebratory happy hours and receive additional PTO for meeting goals, while others are ignored by upper management. The owners are extremely kind and personable, although I can't help but wonder if they understand the direction the company is headed. Flexibility is there, kind of. Depends on who you report to.

Cons

I was treated like a number and productivity robot instead of an individual with my own career goals and aspirations. New leadership has completely shaken the company and I spent the majority of the time I was employed wondering if I would be the next day. Few people carry a great deal responsibility and knowledge, while others have completely checked out and are just collecting salary.

Toxic Upper Management

Pros

- I learned a lot about the technologies used in their systems. - I worked with some great engineers - I learned a lot about "what not to do."

Cons

Listrak is a chaotic environment with toxic leadership. - They pressure their employees to give them good reviews. That is why you see the 5-stars and why they have the "Best Places to Work" thing. - The other reviews about toxic management are true. They are petty and try to tear you down instead of working with you to help you improve. They tell you they are always available to talk, but in reality that they only bully, intimidate, and lie. - This attitude seeps into the whole department and people are almost always unhappy. - No guidance, but also tie your hands. You will be micromanaged by people that have no idea how software engineering works. - Teams are forced to skip around to different projects, making it difficult to develop skills and write quality software. -They do not have a plan for feature development. - They do waterfall, but call it agile. - Their architecture and processes seem to intentionally slow you down and frustrate you. - The company is very right-wing. Your work here will directly support far right-wing messaging. (I am not sure if I am allowed to give exact examples.) - Do not trust their responses to Glassdoor reviews. They only know how to lie and manipulate.
