Pros

Best in class technology. No other companies come close to the level of scale or ROI that Lithium Community and SMM can provide. This meant most of the customers I worked with were Enterprise customers which was fantastic. Technical and process documentation was also fantastic.

Cons

Low level of contact with team mates. Too much focus on time-based KPI's. Lack of interaction between sales / scope / delivery teams. Recent acquisition was exciting but lack of communication from upper management had many staff feeling uncertain.

Pros

Fantastic employee onboarding process - the best I've experienced. The whole process was super professional, very slick and made joining the company seamless and a real pleasure. Great products and strong customer base - Lithium's products are dominant category leaders and the global customer list across key verticals is pretty stunning. Great management team - a strong vision about what the company wants to be, the value it wants to deliver to customers, and where it is heading. Excellent team members - everyone in the business I've interacted with is a high quality individual who really enjoys their role and has fun getting their job done. Lots of opportunities for role and location changes - many people I've met in the business have been able to expand into different job functions or geographies. The company is very open to internal movement which is great for personal development.

Cons

Nothing yet - still early in my journey with the company.

Pros

Very few. I'd say that this place is probably only good for people with kids that just want an easy 9-5 so they can get home to their families or someone who's about to have a baby and go on maternity/paternity leave. Other than that, the location is convenient as it's right in the middle of the city.

Cons

Where do you even start? There is a lot of churn, especially with the sales team. I'm not sure if this is because people can't sell the product and are not hitting their numbers or simply because people just want to leave, but it happens a lot. Politics seems to also play quite a role here, especially when egos get in the way. There are some talented engineers, but I've heard some code bashing in my short time here. When it comes to people leaving, the things I've been told from old coworkers make it seem like the company cares very little about their employees. Those who were let go commonly complain about the meager severance package, and sometimes the circumstances seem a bit shady. We rarely hear about any exits, even those of executive staff. Lastly, I would say that there is a distinct lack of culture here. About a year ago, we acquired a startup called Klout. Klout was filled with young, energetic employees and it seemed like it was an earnest attempt to not only bolster product offerings from Lithium, but also to inject some youth and culture into the company. Sadly, within 4 months, most of this had been stomped out. I'm not sure how many are left, but I think almost all of those employees have left Lithium (it's worth noting that there was an earlier acquisition of a team in Austin, but instead of coming to SF, they were allowed to remain a satellite office and they seemed to have maintained their company culture).
