Pros

The brand is growing in nice cities - however, that's the only thing that's nice about this brand...

Cons

If you care about your mental health, do not work here. I repeat, DO NOT work here. It's a bunch of mean girls who are pretending to be nice. When you get there, true colors show. There's an on site therapist for a reason. That's all I will say.

We pride ourselves on living out our mission of kindness and inclusivity both to our customers and in the workplace. As it sounds you have not experienced this, we highly encourage you to bring these concerns to the HR Department to provide this feedback directly. We take this type of feedback very seriously and would love to see what we can do to fix your LWP experience. Again, we encourage you to reach out directly to the HR Department, as we are always looking to improve the workplace for our employees!

Pros

There are no pros to working here.

Cons

As a former employee of Little Words Project, I must share my disappointment with the company's toxic corporate culture, lack of support for store teams, and the unprofessional manner in which the business is run. While the company may present a positive image to the public, the reality is far from ideal for those working within it. One of the most significant issues is the disconnect between corporate and store teams. Despite our efforts to communicate our concerns and needs, corporate consistently ignores the feedback from the field. This lack of listening has led to a toxic and unsupportive work environment, where store teams are left feeling undervalued and frustrated. Furthermore, the chronic understaffing of store teams has contributed to an excessive workload for employees, with little to no recognition for our dedication and hard work. Instead, we are constantly asked to take on more responsibilities without any additional support or compensation. Perhaps the most disheartening aspect is that the company places blame on store teams when employees leave, rather than acknowledging the real cause – the toxic nature of the business. Rather than addressing these concerns, the focus remains on maintaining the company's image, which only exacerbates the issues. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Little Words Project as an employer due to the corporate toxicity, lack of support for store teams, and poor management practices that leave employees feeling overworked, unappreciated, and ultimately, eager to find a better opportunity elsewhere.
