Firstly, precious energy is sometimes wasted by negative thinking, passive aggressive behavior and lack of cohesive and positive teams. Secondly, our teams at the moment seem more like loose organization of talented individuals, than a solid team of cooperative, talented professionals.
Secondly, wages are not competitive. They are below the market rate for the value we produce. This is leading to key talent feeling undervalued and seriously considering jumping ship. Human Resources is undervalued and our own etiquette rules are not followed or enforced consistently. Specifically we should strive to find creative ways to reduce negative or sensitive not work related conversations that can easily alienate offended individuals. And even more importantly, we should strive to avoid any and all forms of sexual harassment. We also need to find creative ways to inspire staff, to be more mission oriented and cooperative, positive and make healthier choices...This perhaps maybe the biggest challenge facing this company. But with the right policies and right example by upper management, this can be turned around.
