Pros

You can gain valuable work experience, and there are still many great people in the company.

Cons

Poor management, low pay and benefits, and frequent work-life imbalance. Employees are not treated as individuals. The environment has become toxic, with no possibility for change because HR consistently sides with management, even when clear evidence is presented. The company prioritizes hiring outsiders over promoting from within—there were zero promotions last year across the entire team. In just the past three months, 50% of the engineering team has left.

Pros

LodgeLink provides exposure to large, complex clients and fast-paced operational work. The role offers a lot of responsibility and hands-on experience, especially during high-pressure situations. I was able to build strong skills in client management, problem-solving, and cross-team coordination. Many of the frontline employees are hardworking and genuinely care about doing a good job.

Cons

Leadership consistency and clarity were ongoing challenges. At times, there was misalignment between stated values and day to day practices, particularly around accountability, transparency, and data integrity. While data was positioned as a key differentiator, validation processes were not always consistent, which sometimes resulted in inaccurate data being used internally to support change initiatives and shared externally. Expectations and feedback could shift without clear communication, and leadership capability in emotional intelligence and people management varied, which occasionally created uncertainty and stress. Workload and emotional labor were high with limited structural support during peak periods. Sustainability, psychological safety, and clear growth paths, particularly for the CSM role, were not always consistently prioritized. In some cases, internal dynamics appeared to outweigh objective performance and results in decision making.
