Pros

Free food because nobody monitors anything meaning any employee can take anything they want at any time with no accountability. Have at it.

Cons

No regard for employee safety, no regard for guest safety, inept management that lies most of the time. There is a reason this is a revolving door job, the majority of the people hired during my 8 months with them lasted less than 1 week before quitting.

Pros

-The staff is great, and people get along as well as enjoy having fun while keeping a professional atmosphere. -There is a good balance between personal and professional life. -There is some flexiblity when it comes to moving shifts around.

Cons

-Competitive compensation is not very forthcoming, it seems that management has a me first type of view to salaries. -Benefits are also lacking, very few options, and the amount paid by the company is minimal at best. -Part-time employees aren't supported very well.

Pros

Your direct team will affect whether you enjoy working there or not.. I connected and worked very well with them. The managers had years of hospitality experience and I was able to learn all the principals of hospitality. My director was a good source of knowledge, connections and an amazing teacher. Hourly workers can make double time. Smaller company so you get to meet everyone in the corporate office plus colleagues from the sister hotels. More freedom to be creative as a franchise hotel versus working under their hotel brand.

Cons

Unfortunately, too much micromanagement from corporate/senior management. The brand has a long way to go to get certain procedures/trainings in place. Expectation is sometimes to work unreasonably long hours. Taking long vacations is subtly frowned upon from the senior leadership. PTO takes a very long time to accumulate. The very little incentives offered are not the same all across the hotel brands under the company. Some of the senior leaderships/managers have too many tasks that takes them away from focusing on their actual role. In turn, that affects the employees that report to them.
