How to Ruin a Company 101

Pros

Very few if any, "unlimited" PTO

Cons

If you are looking to buy Logically from Riverside, don't. Years of mis-management from Riverside's cronies trying to build an MSP has left a shell of a company. A shell carried by the few remaining hardworking engineers who are still here. This company is holding on by a thread. Riverside thought they could come in and M&A their way into a nice pet project MSP, but in doing so they lost all of their loyal client base and good employee's. Their idea to fix it was to continue to hire paper-pushers and "Revenue Officers" instead of just you know, listening to what their clients were struggling with. (Almost all of those issues were due to poor account management and or integration of a recently acquired MSP into Logically) Previously they would give pretty generous raises year to year, then it became "merit only raises" and then those merit raises became below inflation raises. Now they don't announce a % raise at all and you just get a few $. There used to be transparency on this and how much the merit based raises were across the board, now it is all hidden. I hope any manager who just got a bonus recently feels like crap after Logically laid off 30+ people so you could get your little bonus for a failing company. Again if you are thinking of buying Logically from Riverside, just don't, whatever they are telling you about CSAT rating is likely a lie. They constantly hammer Engineers for getting responses on CSATs to the point they threaten "writing us up" if the end user/client doesnt click a happy face on a follow up email. It's pretty clear this hammering of CSAT is to show potential buyers "how happy the clients are" when in reality very few if any of Logically's clients are still happy. Anyone who works in Managed Services would know that root level issues (Like billing and horrible account management) will not show up in day to day ticket CSAT responses. They also probably just fired 30+ people so they could increase profitability and show potential buyers how much money they are making. When in reality they are now running a skeleton crew for service delivery, which ultimately will just bleed more clients. Benefits were recently cut to what I would call "joke level" essentially cutting users pay even more so on top of their sub inflation raises.

Dishonesty

Pros

The freedom you have while working remote.

Cons

The lies. They’ll tell you lay offs are due to restructuring , while that same day say it was a financial cut. Even upon getting cut they’ll tell you to your face no matter how great your performance is that has nothing to do with it. (So work hard and expect to still be let go). CEO, HR, and upper management all lie through their teeth and refuse to be honest about the state of the company. How can a company that is “doing so well and moving in the right direction” keep doing massive lay offs every 6 months. Like the CEO loves to say “there is no 2025”, correct, because this company will be going under. Within the last 5-6 months multiple high paid people have left and positions haven’t been back filled, so where is all that money? This company lacks accountability, quality leadership, and overall a moral compass.

For the growing alumni

Pros

This post is for the growing number of former employees of the company and to know what they’ve felt and are experiencing is ok

Cons

My fellow alumni some of you are now free of the abuse and harassment that is being a logically employee. Just know the next couple of months you may experience PTSD where you hear things or make a mistake and your instinct is to prepare e for misery because that’s what we’re used to at logically. This feeling is common amongst all of us. The leadership team used mental abuse techniques to manage and over time that feeling goes away. Where you are now is better than here. You’ll wonder if you’ve jumped to another logically but you haven’t. Nobody can duplicate the pathetic gaslighting and misinformation that they do. You’ll hear that they think you are garbage and they are better off without you. Let them say it. You aren’t the one staring down the worst comp plan and benefits package in America. You aren’t the one who lied all year to the staff about the President club that they canned. You aren’t the one who has zero control over their future. You instead are a survivor and a better person for knowing what terrible feels and looks like. For us that are free, it’s our responsibility to make our new roles better by asking what would logically do and do opposite. If we apply what we learned by observing the toxic culture and make sure it doesn’t replicate further, we’ll be ok. Just know you’ve never been alone and what you’ve felt and experience is common but you have support amongst the growing ex employee base.
