No benefits except for health insurance- no sick days, vacation, or bereavement is granted before working at least a year. Pay is very low according to market standards. You are expected to work a lot of overtime and be ready to travel internationally for weeks at a time at a moments notice. Work days on trips can be extremely long and tiring, but you only get paid .5 hours of overtime each day you are on a work trip. Expect flights at 4 am and having to report back to work the next day after a two week long trip to India, China, etc...even if you are sick, you will never hear the end of it if you try to take a day off to recover.
Everyone talks badly about other departments as if they aren't just a few doors down. The work environment is extremely toxic -everyone is always blaming someone in another department for problems. Meetings are rarely held to remedy these issues; but no problems are ever solved because everyone wants to do things their own way. There is also absolutely no real HR department--it is non-existent. There are people with titles that claim to be HR but they cannot do anything if you go to them with a complaint. I have tried and was just redirected to the head of my department, who abuses his power and lack of HR to say whatever he wants (which would get him immediately fired anywhere else).
