As the HR Manager, I’m sorry you feel this way. I would hope our “open door spirit” would lead you to speak with your manager or me about the situation. We always look to promote from within first. Promotions are given to individuals who display ambition, talent, dedication and leadership. Many of the employees here have grown into hirer positions than in which they started. Our hierarchy is both vertical and horizontal. Some people may not have a management title but they are a go-to for their team through the initiatives they set. As mentioned in previous posts, recent turnover has included the exit of former negativity. I am truly sorry you feel this way and I am more than willing to discuss these concerns further in a private meeting.

Pros

- Good benefits - Generous time off - Charming office space - Small full-time staff - Pet friendly - On-site kitchen - Great location

Cons

If you're considering a job here, my best recommendation would be to use this as a stepping stone for building your experience. Some quick things to consider: - Turnover rate is EXTREMELY high - Lack of appropriate training for new hires - Lack of support and positive reinforcement - Overall environment can be very oppressive - A failure and breakdown of communication between departments and from upper management to subordinates - Low company morale - Lack of trust - Polices and procedures change with little notice that can affect important aspects of your job - Poor customer service and lack of attention to important issues - Employees are regarded based on appearance

Pros

A few weeks off in December, occasional outings and several extending weekends in the summer.

Cons

Read the reviews the negatives are very true and the positives are clearly written by management. Also ask your professional colleagues before accepting a position the owners reputation is pretty bad across Long Island. The leasership creates a hostile unhealthy work environment for all. If you speak up or disagree you are fired. Talent is abused and robbed of their ideas and then fired. Cattiness and throwing others under the bus is a common practice. There have been some very talented people who either left or were fired. The company is not profitable and revenue keeps falling. Stay clear! I still receive calls from stafff confirming the downward turn.
