Pros

The only positive is the barely above average pay, but without it nobody would work here

Cons

This company has serious organizational issues. Mike Arce cannot make a decision and stick to it to save his life. Mike seems to act like he knows everything and that his word is gospel, yet he’s just an average joe who wakes up and watches YouTube videos on how to run a a business - and it shows. - been around since 2009, yet our client base has barely grown - constantly promoting the wrong people, just because they decided to stick around - an overbearing CEO that only wants to improve his social media presence and act like he’s a business god when he merely just started a project he got from other people’s ideas. - no organizational structure, good luck needed anything HR related, nobody knows anything about where to find that info or sign up for benefits. - prepare to be absolutely swamped with work, and always have the work being brought home with you. - enjoy working with cheap business tools and technology, like a failed CRM rollout and phone dialing system that never works correctly. - Cheap benefit system, it isn’t even normal insurance, it’s a cost savings plan so good luck finding a suitable office that’s accepted - Mike seems to think it’s okay to talk to everyone like he’s a superior human and you’re a small child

Pros

- Seemed like an excellent company at first until I started learning what was going in behind closed doors - Small team - Close-knit - Fun work environment for the most part - Have the potential to earn good money, but you probably won't unless you are ready to work 12 hr days

Cons

- Management preaches that you can grow, but really tests you and dangles growth positions with no clear idea of when that could happen. This also happens with raises - Members of the team would be secretly offered cash or other incentives to learn a new skill and would be awarded publicly by CEO to prove a point - CEO was never in office and cared more about building his social media presence - Employees were constantly reprimanded in public - The 2 managers were essentially running the company and 1 of them was not doing it well - CEO was looking to move the company to Anthem (30 mins from current location) and lied to employees when asked - Management preached being open and honest with them, but would manipulate and twist the situation to make it as if it was your fault - Several people quit in a matter of 3 months... 5 employees which is close to 1/3 of the company - Favoritism was very evident - The success of the company was always put on us and we were never good enough. The CEO once said " people know when they are doing a good job, I don't really need to tell them" - 2 employees gave their notice and were not allowed to tell anyone until the CEO could have a meeting in which they were not allowed to be in and had to leave the office in the middle of the day - Management would lie to protect the integrity of certain employees while throwing others under the bus - Meetings could be extremely degrading and negative

CEO is a Bully

Pros

The pay is really the only pro... yet no amount of money is worth the treatment

Cons

My experience working at Loud Rumor was stressful and had me constantly on edge. The CEO is incredibly unorganized, and he frankly acts childish if he does not get his way. If anything goes wrong it is always someone else’s fault. He cannot take accountability for his own actions. There is a bit of a boys’ club as well. When I put in my 2 weeks’ notice, the CEO just ignored me. I had meetings scheduled with him, and he simply would not show up (wasting mine and the company’s time). He stopped answering my calls or responding to my messages. He also didn’t say goodbye - just ghosted me. He claims to be direct but he’s very passive aggressive and condescending. The CEO also made it very clear that everyone is disposable and that as teams grow you will also outgrow most of your employees... I would get calls at 8pm, long after I’d logged off for the day and was out, and would get calls just barking orders at me to do things - as though I just live at my computer. I thought I left on a good note, but the CEO’s childish treatment and complete disrespect when I put in my notice prompted me to write this review. The Senior Account Managers and CFO really carry the team. Without them the whole place would crumble.
