Don't do it

Pros

When it was owned by Ascension Health and was not for profit, there was a sense of community and caring. Since being taken over by Lifepoint, the new administration has shown some very non-caring and unethical behavior.

Cons

New administration and CFO are not very ethical. They treat employees very badly, with lack of caring for their personal needs, career needs and work environment. Many good employees have left due to how they are treated, or how they see others being treated.

Draining place to work

Pros

There are currently no pros. There used to be prior to Lifepoint.

Cons

Administration cares very little about the employees. We’ve become nothing more than a profit and loss statement. So many people have left because of the negative, overworked environment. There is no communication to staff about what is happening with the organization. They no longer fill their mission.

Overall Great Place to work

Pros

Lourdes truly values their employees. The benefits, vacation package and employee perks are very generous. There are some amazing employees that have been with Lourdes for many years. These people are the backbone of the organization and help keep the culture and mission alive and well.

Cons

There needs to be some progression towards a more Gen X friendly work place. Technology outside of the hospital itself is outdated and up until a few years ago, associates could not even access their email outside of the office. We live in a digital age where people need to be able to access and respond to requests outside of the office. Have enough trust in your non-clinical associates to let them work remotely at times if needed.
