Pros

Keeps you busy Some fun and intersting people to work with.

Cons

The company and store value themselves on Culture and Community It followed very little of what one is taught. Managers walk around and leave and go getting over payed to do absolutely nothing. Managers set a horrible example for the employees by coming and going as they please, never being in the department and off gossiping with other managers about employees and themselves. Nobody wants to take responsibility for anything they do wrong. Pay is low, the melodrama that happens between department managers and then department staff is ridiculous. Some of the managers in the store despite not having the title of store manager have an arrogant air to them that they run the place. Managers treat the employees like they don’t mean much or are worth much. In order to get ahead in this location In particular.. it appears that you have to do a lot of butt kissing. The customer is always right 90% of the time because the managers always take up the side of the customer. All you have to do is say “I don’t want to pay this much” and cause a scene and it’s yours for whatever price. God forbid a host say no to a customer. That could get you reprimanded or talked down to like an insubordinate child. Managers take all of the credit for anything that the workers do. If your lucky you will get recognized. It doesn’t happen much. If you do get positive feedback it may bight you in the butt. You will be asked to work even harder despite there not being enough time. If corporate knew what was actually happening in the store most people would have been fired a long time ago.. unless they don’t care. But then again all you have to do is know the right person and you can pretty much get away with anything! So I guess that could be a pro.

Pros

None that I can think of. Unless you have no life or family and enjoy being jerked around about when you are and aren't supposed to be there. It's hilarious they will freak out and call everyone in on there day off because someone from corporate is rumored to be in the store that day.

Cons

Management will change the schedule in the middle of the week and completely take you off of it. However they don't even have the common courtesy to call you and let you know to not show up. It's not fair to the hosts to be punished financially because the store manager can't make an accurate sales projection. Suck it up and let the people work. There's plenty to clean. It's a shame that both new stores in Lexington are already disgusting. But that's what happens when lazy managers make decisions to cover their own mistakes from the office. I won't even get into the frustration caused by every level of management having a different "program" you're supposed to be on. When asked if they can present a proper reference or procedures guide like every other grocery chain has they will walk away from you.
