Pros

Thank you for making me so incredibly depressed and anxious that I was put on medication and going to bed each night hoping that I wouldn’t wake up in the morning so I could avoid the monster that was my manager. It made me realise that life is too precious to work for awful people. Some of the people are genuinely nice though.

Cons

Urm… almost everything? I could create a podcast on my experience but let me sum it up briefly. If you are looking for a place where: 1. Leadership do not take any personal accountability 2. The senior leadership team value ego before team 3. Your manager deliberates over every little detail instead of actually delivering meaningful results 4. You’re absolutely annihilated when you give constructive feedback because there are too many egos - there’s opportunities to feel uncomfortable but sadly no growth This could be the perfect place for you!! Overall I won’t say too much, but LoyaltyLion is a place that crushed me internally. I’ve never worked somewhere where I spent so many hours crying between zoom calls because I was bullied by my manager. I was made to feel alone and isolated. And when I reached out for help and expressed the problem, nothing was done about it. To the people team, please do not reply to this post with some generic disingenuous reply. And that’s the tea.

Hardly loyal

Pros

Great employees. Don’t think I could fault any colleague in my team. So much love and ongoing support from my direct managers and team members. Huge shoutout to Dave.

Cons

You’d think a company that sells a loyalty program would know how important it is to retain their employees. Or more importantly, how to value them. There is irony in how little loyalty they have towards us. Bean bags and free fruit in the office? How about treating your employees like they are people and not computers. It’s not the same company I joined a year ago. We’ve been made to feel as though we cannot take AL or sick days due to us not hitting target. Reward is little when we do. To be quite honest, I feel like a cog in a machine and it saddens me to say this because when I first joined, it was a company I was proud to work for with a great culture. They say they care about us as individuals, but the only time they see us as an individual is when we miss target and get scrutinised, put under a microscope and threatened with dismissal. I’ve seen employees with proven skills and attitude (who have often been used as an example of what a great employee looks like) be dismissed, and it really saddens and feels irrational to me. If the ‘People Team’ carry on treating their employees the way they are now, it is not looking good. The only ‘People’ they seem to care about, are themselves.

Pros

My team are great, and full of hard working individuals.

Cons

It’s become a tough place to work. Constant anxiety over performance, it has been suggested that holiday shouldn’t be taken in order to hit target, and or sick days. Additionally the people team have become impossible to approach, and glaze over most issues within the company as well as ignoring individuals who have genuine concerns. There is also little to no progression path at LoyaltyLion, which has lead to a lot of individuals feeling undervalued within the team. Loyaltylion offer no proper training to the team, so you’re thrown into the deep end and expected to succeed; if not, then there are consequences even though they actively hire individuals with no previous sales experience.
