Certain under-performers are given free passes because they are close with management. They contribute nothing to the company and try to make themselves look important. HR is by far the most unprofessional and unethical that I have dealt with in my whole working career. HR's function in this company is to instill uneasiness and fear into the employees. Since HR doesn't do payroll, outsources recruiting, doesn't develop employees or help resolve employee issues, you wonder what they are hired for. The company would be actually be better off without HR. This is an issue because management brushes off issues easily and there is no resource to turn to if there is a big problem. Long hours are an understatement. Working here means you will not have a life outside of work. Management is not appreciative of their employees and provides no career path. Management's poor planning and over committing to big projects leads to having to meet impossible deadlines and causing mistakes again and again (which they never learn from). All of this leads to an exodus of talent. The only people that stay are the ones that need to because their families depend on them or the ones that can't go elsewhere due to their lack of education or age. Questionable equipment and safety procedures at time. Very wasteful for certain things, but nickel and dime for necessities.

If you have a choice, steer clear. Management has no respect for work-life balance. Extremely long hours, difficult working conditions, unrealistic goals, poor facility.
