Pros

-Centrally located in Midtown -Nice people trying to hold onto the past

Cons

-The company was acquired by competition from out of town who seek to impose their own stringent corporate culture on the company -The office is located in a basement with no windows except for in upper management offices -They require employees to do janitorial work in the kitchen breakroom -Pretty low compensation vs. workload -No remote work -Local health plans nixed for less generous benefits -PTO declined -Ken is no longer CEO

Pros

Some of the people here are absolutely fantastic. Nice building in a sweet part of mid-town. Loved the lighting selection and helping clients on their projects. The very best thing was working with the clients.

Cons

Strictly order taking - no true sales. "Sales" management is mis-placed and have worked their way into positions via tenure. No true sales experience and no coaching whatsoever. Ability to manipulate reports if they want you out. One day you are on track, the next day almost all of your accounts are gone in the pipeline. Shiesty to say the least. Dishonest and not trust worthy.

Pros

Friendly coworkers, snacks on hand, fun end-of-week activities, good support from middle management, work is fairly straightforward and easy to get the hang of through practice.

Cons

Upper management feels really disorganized, minimal training, constant tension and misunderstandings between Lumens and parent company’s management, projects are often extremely intense with unrealistic productivity expectations. There’s a lot of grumbling and frustration on the average joe level.
