Pros

- Competitive salary - Great work-life balance and flexibility for taking time off - Remote work possibility, but also a comfortable office setup - A non-corporate, open-minded environment where ideas are valued - Opportunity to grow professionally and take ownership - Transparent and fair profit sharing every 3 months if the company performs well - Supportive and forward-thinking management - Meal vouchers and other benefits - Flexible working hours - I truly enjoy the company's mindset and collaborative spirit

Cons

At this moment, I honestly can't find any major downside worth mentioning.

As a way to elevate the software engineer role, we made the difficult decision to remove the QA department one and a half years ago. We did keep the whole QA employed for 6 months after making the decision (and the internal announcement) while they were searching for new opportunities. We are keeping the transparency promise as the easiest way to go about doing things.

How a company can go from decent to horrible in less than 5 steps

Pros

A few decent developers ... unfortunately that's it.

Cons

The company is the spitting image of its CEO, an arrogant, impulsive, self-absorbed person who couldn't care less about his employees and has no notion of what loyalty means. Starting from 2020/2021 and up to 2024 the CEO decided that several departments are useless and started to close them one by one (Project Management, Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Client Management, etc). All responsibilities from these departments were simply thrown in the hands of the developers which most of them are unexperienced (less than 2-3 years of work experience). There were no salary adjustments, just extra responsibilities and stress. The office politics are one of the worst I've seen, middle-management is just a few people with no back-bone, no opinion of their own. If you dare to say anything, have a different/contrary opinion to the CEO, you are marginalized asap (you are with us or against us mentality) There's also a scam with the promise of stock options without any contract, so watch out!!!

It is true that we've made very significant restructuring over the last several years. The rest of the information here is not true. For example, we pay highly competitive salaries, and our stock options are managed through Carta, which includes the management of those agreements. This is very likely written by a former employee (Dan V) who was let go after many unsuccessful attempts to find common ground and who is unfortunately very upset and revengeful.
