Pros

Fast paced dynamic and flexible environment. Lurn cares about it's customers, and cares about it's staff. I'm 41, and it's the best place I've ever worked!

Cons

Tough to think of a con. There's a lot coming at you at any given time... if that's not your cup of tea, Lurn isn't for you

Pros

The best thing about this place for me was the people. It's a youngish crowd, and everyone is very talented, so you get a chance to learn a lot. The CEO is a very smart guy and it's hard not to absorb some of that knowledge.

Cons

-There is a culture of secrecy. Only the people at the very top ever really know what's going on. And when it comes to marketing its kind of an issue if most of your team is not in the loop. But it's not just the overhead view. It's the day-to-day of what you're doing and why you're doing it - basically the direct opposite of micromanaging. It's like you're kept in the dark, thrown into the lion's den with no preparation and when you inevitably don't meet expectations suddenly your the one who is inadequate. -I should emphasize that this isn't everyone's experience, because they play favorites. The best thing you can do is find a way to cozy up to the higher-ups so that they set you up for success. But I've seen that not work for some...

Pros

Beautiful and brand new building, CEO willing to buy laptop and any needed resources for department.

Cons

'Used car selling' approach of the sales team promoting their training programs, unstable personalities of CEO and CFO, most everyone works remotely and very little corporate presence at the headquarter location.
