If this is not your first job in the construction industry you will not last long
Pros
You learn a lot of precon.
Cons
They care more about you showing up right at 7 o'clock but if you try to leave at 5 (when they say you can leave) they give you grief about it. There is not mentoring that goes on. The only feedback I got was during my performance review. When my PM first got hired he said, "I am going to be a jerk to you and take credit for everything you do so I can move up fast". Also, this company is so far behind the times technology wise. When I started I had a desk phone and a desktop computer. I has to use my own personal cell phone when I was on the job site and had to beg for a laptop. I was driving 60 miles each way to the jobsite and had to pay for my own parking which wouldn't be a big deal if there was any kind of reimbursement or higher wadge, but the pay was below industry standard, and there was no reimbursement for gas. The management was a group who if you sucked up to them loved you, but if you challenged any of their ideas then you were black balled and there was no opportunity to grow. Finally, they loved to micromanage you, and keep you there late for minuscule things. My experience there was negative from the first to the last day. I saw everyone that came from a different company stay no longer than 2 years, and everyone who started their career there stay for a long time. There was a lot of infighting in the office, and just an overall negative attitude.
