Pros

I wasn’t the only person to suffer

Cons

Here goes strap yourself in….. I left my old job in need of a change and fell hook line and sinker into the trap. I was interviewed by lovely people and they couldn’t be more positive about the company and the benefits of working for them. I was employed as a remote NMP and was told that the role would be developed and expanded with patient contact and lots of developmental opportunities. This never happened. The management structure changed several times and it was clear that the company wasn’t in a stable position but they were never honest with us about that. I was basically used as a doctors scribe and the day to day role was purely admin based. Despite this I worked hard and tried to show that I was conscientious and took pride in my work. This was pointless though because in late November 2024 I was told that I had to work from Farnborough within 6 weeks or lose my job. This is 2 hours away from my home address. No respect or loyalty for me and my position at all. I have a mortgage and a family to support and they knew that I couldn’t move. 3 other good people were placed in the same position. This was clearly a ploy to make redundancies and save money. Luckily I found myself a new job and I’m happy now but i cannot explain how much anxiety and stress this caused and I genuinely pity anyone still working for this company. Take heed, look after yourself and stay well away. Your time will come. I understand the challenges that a company must be facing to have a successful business model and succeed in this industry but this doesn’t mean that you have to treat people with such disdain. I am speaking from experience and wouldn’t wish for any other person to suffer this kind of treatment.
