Pros

The company gave birth to quite a few game dev pros. (See what I did there?:))

Cons

Almost all the talents are gone now, only few last remain. Nobody regrets leaving the company, no matter if he/she left voluntarily or was fired. Nobody. That tells a story.

Pros

Amazing, friendly folk with passion for games. Great career opportunities (if you like climbing CEO's you know what)

Cons

CEO of the company. Egoistic, all-knowing, never making mistakes jerk with the best ideas ever - it is just the people around him who are too stupid to understand him and making everything wrong. If he could clone himself, he would have already created game 1000x better than Fortnite, CoD or any other game ever created. Just those damn people are too dumb to get it :'(

Pros

- Great tech from where you can learn very advanced techniques (but forget any type of documentation). - Supportive colleagues. - The city is beautiful, the beer is cheap and the cost of living affordable.

Cons

- Very bad management, there's no proper schedule and unbelievable deadlines are set without any agreement. - CEO micromanages and use tough languages, expecting you to crunch by making false promises never held. - Layoffs are typical once the game is launched for beta and people are not required anymore even after all that crunch (5+ months weekend included), producer and HR are left to deal with this situation by looking for excuses not really proved by facts and forgetting completely about the toxic overtime worked. - CTO gave a very bad example by staying till late in the studio even though he has a family at home and a his new child was just born. - Appraisals and career advancements are not taken into consideration at all, some of the CEO friends work in key positions for unclear merits considering that the lead programmer don't actually lead at all but he gets isolated to not be distracted, what a way of leading is that!?! - If you are a foreigner avoids this place, you'll get trouble to work with your Czech colleagues or leads, they prefer to always speak in Czech and sort issues by themselves, so you'll have to figure out what happened, that's frustrating, it's not a place where you can learn and the knowledge is concretely shared. - They lost some key programmers that have worked for years in the company because they lost their patience towards this toxic way of working, this is indicative of what is still going on which I got confirmed from current employees who are still working on the edge.
