Pros
Good for a young person looking to work every hour of the week with no other commitments. Decent income potential.
Cons
Penny pinching against their own engineers, making deductions where they see fit. You are paid via a rate card not per day rate as shown in their job description. The rate card is another loop hole within the system, as the rate card does not cover all aspects of the job, for instance collecting build items and materials can be a time consuming job - this is simply unpaid and over looked. Some pieces of equipment are not equally shared, making your job more stressful than others. All young white men. They do not care about health safety unless an incident happens or whether they'd like to use it to their benefit of getting someone the sack. They have a union but its kept well quiet. Deductions against wages are quickly rushed. Courses are booked without consent and are pushed, if you hesitate to cancel they'll bombard you with phone calls.
