MDC looks for management from many different industries. That way we can add diversity into our leadership approach. The current CEO has deep industrial experience in manufacturing and business. The management team supporting him has collectively more than 150 years of experience in this business. We are happy to report that in the last two years the business is growing at about 30% per year – reversing a trend of 20 years of decline. Thank you for your feedback.

A Company Going Through Many Changes

Pros

-Many, many changes in the past year with a focus on capabilities and positive improvement with regards to quality, lead time, and customer satisfaction. -Upward growth within the market, with good expectations for future growth/expansion. -Interesting subject matter and wide customer breadth. -Unique manufacturing environment. -Upward mobility for the right candidates. -Many veterans of the industry present. -A place where a young manufacturing employee can be exposed to a facility that designs AND manufactures.

Cons

-Structure. The management needs to be more serious about structure and adherence to established procedures or abolish/revise them. -Focus on multiple "critical" projects at once. Efforts need to be focused on achievable goals or employees will feel defeated with mounting challenges. -Not necessarily a con, but I'd say the employees best suited to work here are those that are driven and motivated to effect positive change. You cannot work here with the mindset that you simply go to work, do the same daily prescribed job, and go home. There is a lot of diversity in each role, and those that can pick up new skills quickly do well.
