Pros

Opportunity to travel, take on new challenges, learn new markets, industries, and cultures, and a sense of meaning and purpose.

Cons

Difficulties of dealing with different personalities/cultures and other government and non-governmental organizations. The work blends a western-style work environment and mentality with the red tape and bureaucracy of developing country government structures.

Pros

The benefits are good and the people are helpful. The overall culture is friendly and the work environment is relaxed and far from being stressful.

Cons

There is a lot of waste of resources, which is quite a big issue as MEDA is involved in development projects in many parts of the world. Projects that could be completed in a much less budget are given way too many resources, most of which is not fully utilised, and is thereby allocated to trivialities.
