Pros

Staff Discounts Store work colleagues Brand Ambassader Program

Cons

A sales heavy job where no chance of commission can be made! - The targets are that high it's impossible to achieve any kind of bonus. Basic pay is awful for the industry - meaning that when and if they do hire, new staff don't last long because they know its not worth the stress or the silly expectations. Staff (and very good loyal staff) are leaving all the time and not replaced resulting in stores that are understaffed but still expected to perform to 100% - but feel that when we do, its still not good enough - undervalued comes to mind. The micromanagement is bonkers, expectations too high, and the training levels very poor - development plans are not worth the paper they are written on - they don't get carried out and they offer no support or training to up skill in the areas that are needed. Complaints that have gone through to HR are very rarely actioned - they have a wait and see approach. Mental health and our well being only comes into play when it suits the Mid Comms narrative. Deliberate and huge pressure is focused on those staff that are not easily manipulated or are outspoken against the poor/unfair treatment by upper management. We're not paid for overtime - instead offered time back which very rarely is given back because of the lack of staff to cover us coming in late or leaving early.

Pros

People I work with, manufacturers incentives and free airtime plan.

Cons

Advisors rely on commission and now the company made it impossible to get any. The targets are unachievable and basic doesn’t cover much. Stores are under staffed and people are stressed out, undervalued and tired. HR keeps banging on about mental health but doesn’t do anything to help it. Expectations are high and pay is low. Even on furlough we’re having to attend meetings and do quizzes etc.

Pros

Working with an amazing team O2 retail benefits - staff plan, discounts O2 franchise benefits - bupa

Cons

Understaffed and exhausted, higher management don't seem to care about the pressure on the front line, resulting in bad behaviours to get any sale on. SALES make the business but the company do not make the sales staff. Commissions and bonus' stripped away, lower basic salary than other sales jobs. Culture in the stores, under promise and over deliver, but that's where the culture stops. Move up the chain and its all about over promising and under delivering. Communication is completely on senior managers terms. Trying to be a bigger corporate franchise but aren't doing it well.
