Pros

The people at MIKID were for the most part some of the most wonderful people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. You couldn't find a nicer group of people if you tried. Most staff cared about helping families and children in any way they could and they would go above and beyond to accomplish this. Benefits were also decent and the PTO was excellent, definitely above average.

Cons

Where do I even begin, my experience here was filled with mistreatment and discrimination from my supervisor and senior management of the organization. I would be openly made fun of and discriminated against for my skin condition by my supervisor. Accused of theft repeatedly and investigated by HR without any evidence. I felt helpless when trying to get the mistreatment to stop even with ample evidence on my side. I witnessed my supervisor treat people terribly, go through violent mood swings, steal thousands worth of computers & equipment, and harass vendors & staff. I documented these occurrences and reported them to management. Despite reporting every instance of this, nothing was ever done. Not only was nothing done but it got worse for me once I reported it, in the months following my report the mistreatment escalated until I was let go. Never had a write-up, never missed a day of work, made a ton of friends in the organization, and always went above and beyond. Near the end of my employment, our team was even forbidden from working with other departments or certain locations to project the illusion that our department was constrained because my supervisor was trying to land an upper management position. I'd like to say this was just my personal experience and that MIKID is a decent enough place to work because the people there are amazing and truly care about helping but it wasn't, I watched the exact same thing happen to two other people in my department, threatening behavior, false allegations, and then terminated. The pressure they were put under was insurmountable. All in all a very tough situation, I loved my job and especially the people but in the end, my income and my family were heavily affected by the lack of care and responsibility shown by management.

Pros

You can work from home. You 'll hardly ever work even though you're told you'll have a 40 hour work week and your told to clock out doing some of your work which is illegal.

Cons

You're told during your interview it's a flexible schedule. Not true. You're told in your interview it's a 40 hour schedule. Not true. You're told to clock out for some of your work. That's illegal. They disregard complaints of workplace hostility. Property because it's the micromanagement abrasive harsh and critical supervisor that doesn't even know how to do her job. She has another employee doing it for her and then complains every day about anything and everything because you took up her emoyees time with training instead of doing her job for her. They care more about making as much money off families in distress than do helping them and pushing us to bill, bill, bill. I get that they need to make money but people's needs should come 2st if that's what you're advertising you do. Horrible place to work. I've only been there a few months and I'm running away to a better job.
