Pros

Such a magnificent product that really does help students make sense of difficult problems, and persevere in solving them. I was so happy to be able to spread the company's mission and have students/teachers/admin get excited about JiJi the penguin. It was so fantastic to see how teachers could use ST Math to help instruction and get kids excited about what oftentimes is a daunting subject; it was as great to see students excited about learning.

Cons

You recruited me in the summer of 2016 and I quickly fell in love with my job. I left a secure job to join your team. Why do you scout for new employees when it's clear that you have zero means to retain them? This is evidently a trend at MIND Research Institute- look at the number of reviews here. Think reviews are only for disgruntled employees? Wrong. Look at how many people sing the praises of ST Math despite being let go. Look at how many CURRENT employees are fed up? The cycle of hiring and firing at this company is utterly unconscionable. I have never seen a company so mismanaged in my life- what an embarrassment and more-so a disgrace to lay people off who were great at their jobs and paramount in advocating for ST Math.

Layoffs continue

Pros

Innovative software that truly leads to deeper understanding of mathematics for all.

Cons

No job security - while that is not totally possible for a company, MIND has a layoff almost every year. Recent layoff in Feburary 2017, one year before that and other layoffs in past years. Taking a 10% pay cut was also a method used by upper management. Suspending benefits happens too.

Another Great Purge

Pros

ST Math is a great program and works for the students. Used it as a teacher prior to working for the company.

Cons

I worked here for almost 4 years. Last Feb they laid of 20+ people promising to get their budget and structure under control and said they would never do it again and then this Feb they lay off another 20+ people myself included saying they are once again restructuring. Those that are left get more to deal with but not more pay. And the day before the massive layoffs don't have employees falsely inflate the stats on here by saying they are so wonderful.
