MIRACORP is open to all feedback from employees because the goal is to constantly improve operations. As a government contractor, all federal holidays are a part of the generous benefit package offered to every employee. Remote work is available when applicable to the federal contract and onsite work is encouraged to grow strong partnerships with all contractors.

Pros

We were paid every two weeks.

Cons

If you are interviewing at Miracorp or thinking about working at Miracorp, run away. Run far away. This is the most poorly run organization that I have ever worked for. They lost a MAJOR DoE contract in one year because of program mismanagement on multiple levels. It would make sense that for a contract to be successfully managed, Miracorp would understand the contract and the work, right? Not at Miracorp! The ineptness and ridiculousness I observed at the highest levels of Miracorp is astonishing. Some steam of consciousness words to describe Miracorp — Micromanagers, liars, hypocritical, inept, clueless, secretive, incompetent, unprepared, aloof, phony, unplugged, uncaring, disorganized

It is highly unfortunate that this is your perceived experience. What is described is not the typical experience of MIRACORP employees and, for the record, no contract has been "lost". MIRACORP appreciates all feedback and works to ensure each comment is internally investigated to constantly improve leadership and the employee lifecycle experience. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the contract world, there are instances where a newer employee may not enjoy the benefits of multi-year agreements or have the capabilities to move from one contract to the next. MIRACORP offers a variety of training opportunities to enhance employee development so that new experiences can lead to new opportunities. MIRACORP centers its employees as the lifeblood of the organization.

Pros

String company in their beliefs and how they run business. Endless opportunities. Good benefits and good pay depending on the circumstances.

Cons

Personally I’ve watched this company screw its employees over. There have been endless times where the “face” of the company was better than the people that worked and gave up previous jobs for this “sold out” opportunity. Critically you have to make your own judgment call when it comes to a position or benefits. But also you have to make sure that the field that you’re in MATCHES the opportunity that you’re going for or being offered to you. Situations arose where a person unqualified to do certain positions found themselves in that position. When that position ends that particular employee cannot take their new found expertise elsewhere because no employee wants to see a left sides career transition on a resume. Not everything can be learned with just training. Knowledge and education matters just as much as hard work. Contracts have a history of ending abruptly. Majority due to lack of knowledge, lack of people hired for the correct position that they are QUALIFIED for and lack of proper management who should be familiar in the field that the contract is under. When contract ends human resource displayed a lack of care for anyone that would be without a job in the coming months. There was no communication as to the contract ending until the last minute and a lot of the employees were unable to prepare. Contracts are not set in stone. Salaries end and contract ends and if you can’t be moved to another contract you won’t have a job, All benefits will stop after the given contract date ending (or when your PTO ends) and if given another opportunity you might have to take it in order to sustain the employers and their family depending on the circumstances. This company has a history of being dishonest with its employees providing no answers. Wouldn’t recommend this company if you’re trying to go linear into your career field. I’d take your chances elsewhere.

The contract world may be daunting for some people which is MIRACORP works so closely with its Program Managers to assure employees of all open opportunities. Being a successful women-owned business for 25 years, MIRACORP has designed a variety of programs to enhance the employee experience and help prepare employees for their next role. These programs range from contributing to PMP certifications to CBTs to transparent communication via email, newsletters, talking points and more. MIRACORP works with its employees so that they have the opportunity to be successful. It's a partnership between the company and the employee to make everyone successful.
