Pros

Good projects, also good place to learn quickly if you are a junior (because not enough manpower so you do much work)

Cons

This office has been around for a long time so the management thinks they do things right, but they are actually very outdated in their thinking. Turnover is crazy and they never try finding out why. The main boss is the most difficult person I ever have to work with, his ego is tremendously big, is impatient and horrible tempered, and he has little respect for his employees. He practices favouritism very obviously. He controls every design aspect of almost all projects, it is not a good place for good designers because talent will be wasted here with little appreciation. The four directors think they can run the place themselves, so there are very few QPs aside from them, which is why the place is badly managed. Their software understanding is sad, as I have worked with other directors who know how to use software. A lot of people stay because of EP, most locals leave after a while. Because of this, a lot of very competent people left this place. Junior employees get little guidance, some are given responsibilities of senior employees but blamed for their lack of experience when something is wrong.

Pros

Good food in the area

Cons

Too many to count. Non conducive working environment. There is a lack of guidance for junior staff as there is no competent middle management. Junior staffs are thrown into projects that are beyond their experience level. And when mistakes are made, the Management does not hesitate jump and put blame on staff for any mistakes done in the course of the projects. Management also does not hesitate to fire staffs that they think are not up to par. There is very obvious favoritism, where the design staffs are more valued than the project staffs. When a project has been designed and competition won, obvious non-compliance to authority requirements are often left to the project team to frantically solve and manage. Employees tend to tip toe around the No. 1 Director to see if he is in good or bad mood. The management does not give support to staff when unreasonable deadlines are given by client. Worse, the staffs are still asked to manage other ad-hoc competitions, while the project deadline timeline is ticking. Manpower supports are not systematically arranged by the management. Instead, the stressed and frantic staffs are often left to fight for his/her own manpower. There are many cases where employees have to threaten to resign before more manpower support is given. If the employee is capable, he/she will have to do more and more. If the team does well, it is only to be expected. There is no show of any appreciation of job well done. The turn over rate is very high. At its worst time, almost every week a staff leaves the company. The fate of each employee is dependent on which director he/she is with. One director is temperamental; another micro manages; then another one that always breathes down your neck. The way the management treats staff left little to be desired. Working long hours and coming back on the weekends are to be expected. "Work Life Balance" that is desired by the staffs are blamed by the management for the non-ideal financial state of the company. Multiple Whats app chat groups are created to terrorize staff after office hours even for matters that are not critical. Emails are expected to be replied as soon as it's received. The list of cons are never ending.....

Pros

i wish there were some

Cons

The firm exists to pander to the childlike whims and fancies of the founding 'architects' MK and PL . The quotation marks serve to highlight their competence as their knowledge of compliance is sketchy at best and as architects, they cannot have their heads clouded in fantasy. I do emphasize childlike with irony as neither of them have families and they clearly to expect their employees not to have them either. For example, cancelling their employees' overseas leave for a family trip at the last minute and disregarding sunken cost. Even NS commitments are taken into consideration at performance reviews. NS deferments are not within the control of the employee and yet looked at negatively. Good work is not received with any praise and favoritism is rampant. Bear in mind that i write this review as one of those that was actually considered to be a decent talent. Staff Dismissals(Firing) are made public knowledge by PL and her infantile nature is propagated into her project management as well. MK is constantly worried that his staff are not working and slacking off and this paranoia prevents him from actually doing his job and guiding his staff. The other directors are largely irrelevant both within the firm and externally. Remuneration is below industry average and if you consider the 14 hour workdays that an average person has to put in with no overtime and your overtime transport claims are questioned due to cashflow issues since the firm frivolously spends on non essentials like company trips for staff that have been there for over a year(less than a quarter of the company) If you are a prospective client, I would request you look elsewhere for your services as I assure you that your project will not be delivered in time and nowhere near the what you imagined as the pretty images that are presented to you are extremely unresolved and as a result, due to a severe inability to manage projects, high staff turnover resulting in a lack of manpower, infantile immature directors that squabble amongst themselves, extremely low staff morale you will not receive what you are paying for. Please do consult the clients on their web page for references of their timelines and the promises made versus the quality of actual delivered work.
