      An organization that deeply cares about the environment as well as the people they employ

      Pros

      Fantastic co-workers, benefits, location, and salary. This organization truly cares about the workers and it is a very safe, clean, friendly environment.

      Cons

      Some longterm employees don't understand how GREAT they have it. the public perception of MMSD is negative no matter how hard we work to educate the public. Many prolbems that occur are not the fault of MMSD, but MMSD is blamed for overflows, basement backups, etc.

      - People are great to work for and amongst, team-oriented atmosphere. - The people go out of their way to say hello, and offer help when needed. - Doesn't take very long to learn to the ins and outs

      - Many policies and procedures to know and recognize - Intricate system (regional gov't agency) - Close scrutiny from public

      Pros

      They have a unique role in the Milwaukee area, and the vast majority of the employees are hard working and passionate about what they do. Great opportunities for advancement or movement within. Very stable work and predictable hours. Clear expectations from each position. Good compensation and amazing benefits.

      Cons

      There are various levels of politics that require constant navigation. Contract operations can be a difficult dynamic to work through. Sometimes it is a struggle to handle the paperwork, forms, and procedures that are in place for seemingly everything that happens.
