Pros

Nurses and clinic staff make healthcare a positive experience for patients.

Cons

Stingy company-gives nothing extra to employees as far as rewards or incentives. Terrible training process-preceptors cannot answer questions properly when they are supposed to train and know all of the policies and protocols. Environment at the corporate office is very rude and cliquey. They seem to prioritize the patient experience but do not consider treating their own employees with respect-at least at the corporate office in St. Paul.

Pros

Some co workers are very helpful and team players. They pay well considering you don't have any outside experience in the medical field and also you can advance within with on the job training.

Cons

The constant changing of one position is often too hard to comprehend. They lay off people doing a certain job and then put it all on another position to fulfill that one's duties as well as what you had before.

Pros

Built great friendships over the years

Cons

During tenure, position was centralized to St. Paul and became a call center position. Position metrics focus on missed number of calls, proper scripting used, how much of the day you are logged into your phone (penalized for taking care of administrative tasks that need to be done such as hospital orders and calling patients back). MN Gastro blurs the line between the scheduling dept and PC dept, forgetting that they are designed to function differently instead of patient coordinators not only doing their job but also the job of scheduling. To MN Gastro's credit, they are aware of this discord and have formed project groups to fix some of these issues. Change is slow to come and there is high turnover.
