      Great pay for the area but a lot of talk about how great the district is when really things are falling apart

      Pros

      Pleasant work environment for the most part. Building admin takes the time to help with your concerns or at least hear you out.

      Cons

      Central office is taking us through a redesign process that they claim is working wonders. Those of us in the trenches are not actually seeing these "wonders."

      Teaching children is one of the most rewarding experiences in life. Decatur Township has a diverse population. The majority of the teachers and staff are caring and dedicated.

      Cons

      Constant random change without authentic research. Lack of administrative accountability, lack of financial transparency. Appearances matter more than substance. Politics rule.
