Pros

Difficult to get terminated. Helpful for developing Customer Service and Driving experience. You can somewhat choose your hours. You're not stuck in a cubicle; discover new areas while you drive around the city. Great if you plan on continuing in the Transportation Industry. Not a big leap going from driving a van to driving a city bus.

Cons

Little to no room for advancement. Best for retirees and former bus drivers. Benefits are lacking. Long hours and dealing with traffic, especially on the Holidays and Rush Hour. Difficult to change careers from.

Pros

Their trainer in the classroom is an amazing individual. Very intelligent and kind. In addition, the DOT guys are awesome. They never have a problem offering advice when you need it, and they will help you if you ask for it. Don't assume because they look serious (their job is serious) that they won't help you. They will if they can.

Cons

Too many bosses, too many hats. If you get on the bad side of dispatch, kiss your future goodbye.

Pros

You get to pick your own days off and what shift you can work.

Cons

Management is non-existent, payroll is always wrong, forget trying to put in for vacation.
