I used to think Match was a good company but they made 30 people redundant on December 23 2022 and CEO did not even say thank you or goodbye to anyone that they got rid of On social media it’s as if nothing happened and promoting good job benefits like they did not fire 30 people before Christmas, it’s really bad and I wouldn’t recommend
Working here it's better than any of my dreams. It doesn't feel like work when you have such a purpose-driven, supportive community. Everyone is super kind and helpful. They have so many cool initiatives and many ways of keeping us connected despite the majority of us don't know each other in person (yet). They really make the most out of the remote-first policy. That, plus the wellbeing and education budget, the unlimited holidays, the offsite and conferences we get invited to, are just some of the highlights. The best is the team, though. I'm so proud of working here!
- Flexibility when it comes to working remotely, not being bound to one country which allows for travel
- Supportive team and colleagues, lack of people with "big egos"
- Leadership is open to hearing your ideas and improvements + lets you "design" your own role and responsibilities (to a reasonable degree ofc)
- Supports your professional development
- Well-paced onboarding, you're not immediately slammed with a ton of information
Cons
- Too many tools/systems where information is stored, sometimes leads to confusion and makes it harder to get a clear picture (though it's being worked on currently)
- Would be nice to have a little bit more diversity in the leadership team
-
