The worst place to intern

Pros

I enjoyed interning with my direct supervisors, whom were both sweet.

Cons

The CEO is a major nut job, she likes to treat people horribly and talks to the interns like they are toddlers. She is a huge reason the internship was the worst experience. The most important part though, is that interns at this company are required to work on projects that are meant for paid employees. Interns should not have to work on projects that are meant for paid employees, just so you all know. Also, the client list kept on decreasing the longer I was there and the clients they do have are definitely sad. My conclusion, it was an embarrassment having this as an internship on my resume, so I deleted it because I learned absolutely nothing. Oh, there is no compensation for interns at all. Taking a 30 min lunch is even looked down upon at this company. Very hostile working environment.

Hello there, Thank you for your response. Sorry to hear that you had such negative feedback. Normally the CEO is not involved with interns, however you may have gotten confused with your supervisor. In regards to projects, you may have been involved in something to help you learn. We always encourage breaks, and if your supervisor does not remind you, feel free to let someone know or communicate when you would like to take a break. If you wish to discuss this more, please email: Humanresources@MYNGroup.com and someone will be happy to address your issues.

Work your butt off for free!

Pros

I was able to learn a few tricks, as an unpaid intern, however whenever I asked for help or seemed in awe of the amount of work they gave me without direction, the person I was interning for would get annoyed or even mad at me.

Cons

Everyone is in one tiny, boiling hot room. The CEO loves to publicly yell at and humiliate her workers. They have more unpaid interns doing their work than actual employees. They definitely do not follow the legal requirements for an unpaid internship, which are: 1.The internship, even though it includes actual operation of the facilities of the employer, is similar to training which would be given in an educational environment. 2.The internship experience is for the benefit of the intern. 3. The intern does not displace regular employees, but works under close supervision of existing staff. 4. The employer that provides the training derives no immediate advantage from the activities of the intern; and on occasion its operations may actually be impeded. 5. The intern is not necessarily entitled to a job at the conclusion of the internship. 6. The employer and the intern understand that the intern is not entitled to wages for the time spent in the internship. The 7 or so employees that work there all have one or more interns, and they never want you to leave, just keep doing ridiculous amounts of work for free. They insist interns come in at least 3 days a week. Also, you must sign a contract on the first day saying that you won't put any of your work created there in your portfolio or else they will sue you... Highly don't recommend this place.

Terrible Environment, Emotionally Damaging

Pros

It would be unfair to people reading this to provide any "pros".

Cons

The "CEO" uses interns as her unpaid work force. She is aggressive with her staff, threatening and inexplicably mean. I cannot imagine a worse work environment and it's not like the pay is decent. Be careful with reviews on here, she's infamous for posting fake reviews.....
