Even one of the few upper-level leaders who genuinely supported, trained, and empowered her team was let go, which raises serious questions about the values upheld by senior leadership.
Upper management fosters a culture that often feels rooted in fear, favoritism, and a lack of accountability. I once overheard a senior leader making a monetary bet about whether a new hire would “survive” in their role—despite knowing the person would report to a notoriously difficult manager. That kind of behavior felt deeply unprofessional and discouraging.
Employee wellbeing does not seem to be a priority. Facilities issues are frequently overlooked. In one instance, I saw visible signs of mold on a wall that were simply painted over instead of being properly remediated.
