Pros

* The progression - clear targets to hit to get promotions and progress in the business. * Friendly people. * Good, frequent social events. * Good commission structure. * Recently addressed how male dominated MBI was.

Cons

* Low basic salaries. Much lower than competitors in the Leeds and Manchester market for similar jobs. * Low holiday entitlement - advertised as unlimited holidays on their job posts. It’s unlimited after 3 years not when you start. It’s 20 days and you have to take 5 days at Christmas. Leaving you with 15 days for the remaining 12 months. * Bad employee benefits, nothing really great on offer. * Flexible working after 6 months - only given 1 day to WFH after that. * Long hours, consultants expected to work from 8-6 minimum in the office 5 days per week. * Sink or swim environment. Leading to high turnover. If you don’t hit the ground running you get a lack of support and can be tough to come back from there.

Thank you for your review, we are sorry you were disappointed by your experience but have some great updates on our culture, benefits and more that we'd like to make you aware of! Since last year we have made numerous improvements to the cons listed. - Salaries - these have been amended due to the cost of living crisis. Also, our commission structures are very generous and transparent, and considerably higher in comparison to competitors. - Holiday entitlement is now 25 days holiday per year (excluding bank holidays) and as you previously stated unlimited after 3 years of service. - Our teams have access to perk box, mental health and wellbeing portals, free counselling, subsidised gym memberships and much more, an offer we are really proud to have for our employees. We are always open to hearing employees voice new benefits they want to see introduced. - Our flexible working policy is very much dependent on experience and the person, but we do ask that whilst training with us, being in the office is a great way to learn from our experienced team and to have hands-on management support. - Our standard office hours are 8.30 am - 5.30 pm, with the option to take 1 and a half hours for lunch should you wish to go to the gym. We do also provide early finish Fridays along with a lunchtime finish every 4 weeks to celebrate the end of the period with the team, which makes up for any extra hours you might need to work Mon-Thursday. Again, something we think is a great benefit, and important to maintaining a healthy body, mind, and work-life balance. - Our teams are supported with weekly 1-1's whilst in their six-month probation period, and progression is something that is closely monitored and mentored. Along with our award-winning 3-month training programme, this is something we are dedicated to constantly adapting to ensure our consultants are supported throughout the initial training and thereafter. Again, thank you for your review, and for giving us the opportunity to update you on just some of the new improvements and changes that have been made since this review was written.

Pros

in the city centre so great for Xmas shopping.

Cons

had one training session in my time here (not by the training person who incidentally doesn’t do any training), but the person who did it was shocking! kpi’s on quantity not quality. managers that aren’t “managers”. very snooty. strict time management. micromanagement. poor commission with thresholds. people in non billing roles just giggle and wander around. poor salaries compared to elsewhere. not much brand awareness like other power houses in the industry. not allowed to use the bank of inmails to reach out to people.

Pros

Really enjoy working at Mackinnon Bruce, the MD and the Senior Managers are all very welcoming and easy to talk to. One of the best commision packages I have come across, great benefits such as free fitness classes, lots of perks after you have been in the company for a year, as they really do reward loyalty and a really clear progression structure

Cons

The role does require hard work, but if you have that you will be rewarded
