Can be a great place to work for some
Pros
- I've met some of my best friends working here. The people were a big part of why I enjoyed going to work most days. - Office environment is pretty laid back. Can wear jeans on Fridays. - Catered lunch every day. - Employee outings happen regularly, at least once a month. - Good work life balance. - Benefits are pretty good. Can't complain about the pay.
Cons
- Senior leadership is a mixed bag. Some are kind and hardworking, others not so much. - In Evanston instead of downtown, can be inconvenient unless you live in the northern burbs. - Can be very cliquey and hard to get to know people who worked here a long time. - Nepotism is pretty bad here. If you know someone in senior leadership your way more likely to get hired. - Lack of diversity. - When I left morale seemed down compared to how it was when I started. Something changed about how things are being handled internally. Hard to describe.
