Pros

Good loyal employees, who support eachother

Cons

Belongs in the dark ages, run by finance not members. Don’t care about employees, but pretend they do, most are very stressed due to unfair targets and won’t say it publicly for fear of being managed out or simply sacked

Jobs for the boys and girls

Pros

On the surface professes to be blue-chip.

Cons

Worse employer I've ever had. Anti-employee blame culture. Ingrained elitist, anachronistic institutionalised arrogance belonging to a past era. Built on a solid foundation of cronyism and nepotism. No employee rights or benefits.

Company with many great workers, but almost complete failure from leadership

Pros

There were quite a few people at entry to mid-level jobs who genuinely cared about the work they were doing and wanted to ensure the future of British manufacturing was positive. With a bit of searching you could find peers who had very unique skills that they were happy to share with you. Working with members was also a highlight as they appreciated the benefits of membership.

Cons

For an organization that preaches about best practices, it does not seem to apply any of them to their own organization. It seems like every other week there was a restructure or change in direction but those changes were very rarely communicated. There was also a severe lack of accountability and general inconsistencies across many teams. There seemed to be a lot of excuses made and a lot of empty promises.
