Pros

Absolutely fantastic product-engineering staff that can hammer out high quality products in virtually no time. Engineering staff is super friendly and loves to work directly with key stakeholders on all projects. CTO and CAO are the coolest cats in town, and the EVP/Biz Dev is one of the most knowledgeable and pragmatic people in the industry. Super animal friendly. I've seen both dogs and cats.

Cons

There are many political issues, and middle management (as well as some upper) doesn't really know how to manage people. Sales staff and channel managers are extremely dissatisfied - every happy hour outside work is a venting contest to see who has it the hardest. Micro management is a serious issue; every email and phone call seems to be monitored closely to the point that trust simply does not exist. Disney's nose is in everything, which is an unfortunate aspect of the $1b acquisition that will stick until end of 2016. Also, no employee gets the full Disney benefits until end of 2016. Lastly, management changed the bonus structure and payout policy even though they baked it into employment contracts. There's no better way to anger your entire employee base than to suddenly change bonuses so they're not paid until the acquisition deal is finalized. Be honest with your candidates up front about the bonus structure. Let everyone know they're not getting paid until the acquisition is done. No 401(k) plan until the acquisition is finalized. Everyone works insane hours without all the startup perks/benefits. Salaries/titles are all over the place. Some directors/VPs don't get paid well, while some managers get paid more than directors. Anyone in Channel Management or Talent is paid dirt. Fullscreen and StyleHaul pay much better compensation.
