Pros

Benefits are good (atleast was good for me

Cons

Bad Management, Too much micro management (may be specific to my department). No career improvement in terms of learning (department specific probably). Work time is early. But it closes early. Location is very remote in Singapore and boring

Pros

- strict hours help you have a routine - exposure to good projects - work-life "balance" - company is cash-rich - Opportunity to work overseas

Cons

- company culture talks about focusing on people but they have no qualms about letting people go if you don't get along with the SG CEO - company is cash rich but at the expense of their people - CEO will review late times (even CCTV) and who is taking longer than half-hour lunch hour and penalize staff for it - if you're posted overseas, you're on your own in terms of taking care of yourself

Pros

Great work life balance, good for retiring seniors

Cons

1) Company doesn't promote based on capabilities & responsibilities, they promote based on years of working within Makino. 2) Company R&D is getting poorer. Most of the experienced engineer resigned, while young engineers design machine with limited machine application understanding 3) HR department all staffs resigned & replaced with new staffs. Most of them resigned due to unsatisfactory top management's people management skill. 4) More than 50 production assembly technicians resigned within 2 months, due to very outdated & underpaid salary scheme
